Mike Broadfoot's current business interests are primarily focused on the development of early stage and small cap companies. Prior to 2002, Mike had an executive management career in the energy marketing and trading industry with Engage Energy. Mike was President and CEO of Engage Energy when it was sold indirectly, to a Fortune 500 utility in 2002.
In 2002, Mike became a principal investor and the Chairman of Solium Capital, a publicly traded software company (SUM: TSX.V) that is an emerging leader in the supply of equity-based compensation solutions for global companies. Mike is currently the Lead Director of Solium.
In 2003, Mike became the principal financier and Chairman of InnerVision Medical Technologies, an early stage private company with proprietary technology in medical imaging.
In 1997 Mike, along with fellow Medgate director Brian Craig, was one of four co-founders of Peyto Exploration and Development, an Alberta-based
publicly traded oil and gas company.
Past Directorships include: Union Gas, the
Ontario natural gas utility and Peyto Exploration and Development, a TSX listed company for which Mike was a co-founding Director from 1998 to 2003.
Mike graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters in Business Administration.
Brian Craig - Director
Brian Craig is an investor and serves on the Board of several early-stage companies – public, private, energy, technology – and is a passionate ‘architect’ of emerging businesses. Brian possesses the experience, knowledge, and patience to help guide these companies through their early life experiences. The clarity to succeed, the drive to win and the discipline to execute are all attributes of the companies that Brian associates with.
Brian is a former CEO and current Director of publicly traded software company Solium Capital (SUM: TSX.V), an emerging leader in the supply of equity-based compensation solutions for global companies. Brian has acquired Board and Audit Committee experience at several businesses he has been involved with, including public and private companies. Brian is currently a principal at a Calgary-based venture capital company called Adventure Capital.

Brian is an engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton).
Mark Wallace – Director
Mark Wallace has been President and CEO of Medgate since 2003. Prior to joining Medgate, Mark was President of ADB Systems International Ltd., a software and services company publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and in the U.S.
Before joining ADB, Mark was Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and a member of the executive management team of AT&T Canada Corp., a national telecommunications service provider now known as Allstream. While at AT&T Canada, Mark was a frequent speaker at conferences and in the media on telecommunications industry issues.
Mark is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the University of Victoria and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mark is a member of the Board of Directors of St. Francis Xavier University and the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto and is a member of the Toronto Advisory Board of Nova Scotia Business Inc.

Stan Marsden – Director
Stan Marsden is Senior Vice President of Operations at Medgate. His primary responsibility is to define the technology and development of Medgate's flagship software product Medgate OH&S. He has managed the evolution of the product from its initial Unix, character based roots through two subsequent generations of products: a Windows client/server product, and the current state of the art multi-tier Web based product. He is also responsible for the provision of all client support, consulting, and implementation services at Medgate. He believes that it is the feedback through direct contact with clients that is pivotal in ensuring that Medgate has the best software product possible.
Stan joined Medgate in 1992 where he held the position of Development Manager, and was subsequently promoted to Vice President, Product Development. Prior to working at Medgate, he was a System Analyst at the Ontario Hospital Association. He has worked for over 15 years in the development of Occupational Health and Safety software solutions. His skills include the design, development, and project management of large database applications according to strict deadlines, budgets and resources.
Stan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
