Shanti is a seasoned entrepreneur and senior business executive with more than 15 years of experience building innovative, fast-growth organizations. She is the founder of NAVEX Global, the world’s largest ethics and compliance software and services company, with more than 12,500 customers around the globe and trusted by 95 of the Fortune 100. Under Shanti’s leadership, NAVEX has grown from less than $5 million in revenues to more than $150 million and has become one of the most recognized brands in governance, risk and compliance (GRC). In addition to her current role at NAVEX, Shanti also serves on several company boards, primarily focused on software and tech-enabled services.
Shanti has deep experience working with entrepreneurs and investors, with a passion and track record for helping good companies become great. She has advised some of the world’s leading brands on workplace compliance and how to build exceptional cultures. In 2014, she was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics.
Shanti received her Masters of Law (LL.M.) from Harvard University where she was a Viscount Bennett Fellow. Shanti received her J.D. and her B.A. (Film) from Queen’s University (Canada) where she was a Queen’s National Scholar. Robert C. Arditi
Rob is a Partner at Norwest Venture Partners who focuses on growth equity and buyout investments in the technology-enabled services and consumer industries. Rob’s current investments include Bailey 44, Kendra Scott Design, Medgate, My Alarm Center, PCA Skin, PICS Auditing, and TurnItIn. Rob was previously involved with Norwest’s investments in 1010data (acquired by Advance) and The Retail Equation (acquired by Appriss).
Before joining Norwest, Rob was an associate at Lake Capital, where he focused on growth equity and buyout investments in the tech-enabled services industry. He previously worked as an analyst in the Consumer & Retail Group within the investment banking division at Goldman, Sachs & Co, focusing on mergers & acquisitions advisory assignments and principal investments.
Earlier, Rob was a Senior Equity Research Associate at Raymond James & Associates where he co-launched the firm’s Homeland Security Technology practice.
Rob holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a major in management. He also has a M.S. degree in finance and a B.S. degree in finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Florida.
Jon is a General Partner at Norwest Venture Partners with more than 17 years of investment experience. Based in Norwest’s Palo Alto office, Jon is focused on investing across a wide range of sectors, with particular interest in information services, software, internet, and business services companies. His current investments include Appriss, Manta Media, Medgate, PICS Auditing, The Rainmaker Group, Topo Athletic, TurnItIn, and WineAccess. Jon was previously on the boards of 1010data (acquired by Advance) Clarus Commerce (acquired by Trivergence), and The Retail Equation (acquired by Appriss).
Prior to joining Norwest, Jon was a Director at Goldman Sachs, where he headed the San Francisco, California office for the firm’s Americas Special Situations Group. In this role, he focused on growth equity investments from $15 million to $200 million across a variety of industries.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Jon spent 10 years at TA Associates in Menlo Park, a private equity firm with $18 billion in capital under management. He began his tenure at TA as an Associate in the Technology practice in 1998 and soon progressed to become a Vice President. Later on as a Principal, he led TA’s West Coast Business Services Practice. During his career, Jon has worked with such companies as 5.11 Tactical, Asurion, Babcock Jenkins, Circle Graphics, CoreLogic (CLGX), Logistics Health, TogetherSoft, Voyant Technologies and WebSideStory.
Earlier in his career, Jon spent two years at Leo Burnett USA, a global advertising agency, where he managed strategy development and campaign management for several Fortune 500 companies.
Jon obtained his bachelor of arts degree in biology from Harvard College.
Steve is a Principal on the Investment Team at Georgian Partners and is responsible for the firm’s investment pipeline. Steve has been in software his entire career and has built an operational specialty in channels, partnerships and strategy planning for acquisition through partners. Steve brings 20 years of software experience and has been involved with Georgian since its inception.
Prior to Georgian Partners, Steve led a global team at IBM responsible for major systems integrator partnerships. Previous to that he led the channels and alliances team at DWL. There he played an instrumental role in developing DWL’s strategic relationship with IBM, which acquired the company in 2005.
Steve’s extensive sales and channels experience includes progressive roles at AT&T/Allstream, Netcom and PSINet, where he developed strong relationships on the channels and M&A side of the major technology firms, internet companies and information aggregators.
Mark Wallace has been President and CEO of Medgate since 2003. Prior to joining Medgate, Mark was President of ADB Systems International Ltd., a software and services company publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and in the U.S.
Before joining ADB, Mark was Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and a member of the executive management team of AT&T Canada Corp., a national telecommunications service provider now known as Allstream..
Mark is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the University of Victoria and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mark currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governors of St. Francis Xavier University (read the press release here). Mark is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club.
