President and Chief Executive Officer
Mark Wallace has been President and CEO of Medgate since 2003. Prior to joining Medgate, Mark was President of ADB Systems International Ltd., a software and services company publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and in the U.S.
Before joining ADB, Mark was Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and a member of the executive management team of AT&T Canada Corp., a national telecommunications service provider now known as Allstream..
Mark is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and the University of Victoria and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mark currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governors of St. Francis Xavier University, succeeding Deputy Chair of TD Bank Group and former Ambassador to the United States, the Hon. Frank McKenna (read the press release here). Mark is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club.

EVP, Chief Technology Officer
Stan Marsden is the EVP and Chief Technology Officer at Medgate. His primary responsibility is to define the technology and development of Medgate’s flagship EHS software product. He has managed the evolution of the product from its initial Unix, character based roots through two subsequent generations of products: a Windows client/server product, and the current state of the art multi-tier Web based product. He is also responsible for the provision of all client support, consulting, and implementation services at Medgate. He believes that it is the feedback through direct contact with clients that is pivotal in ensuring that Medgate has the best software product possible.
Stan joined Medgate in 1992 where he held the position of Development Manager, and was subsequently promoted to Vice President, Product Development. Prior to working at Medgate, he was a System Analyst at the Ontario Hospital Association.
Stan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.

Vice President, Consulting Services
Jill Brown is Vice President of Consulting Services after having served previously in the company as Vice President of Product Management, Director of Client Service, Product Manager, and Manager of Client Service. She has been in the occupational health and safety field since 1991.
Jill received her RN Diploma from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa in 1987 and obtained her BA in Health Care Administration from Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa in 1994. She is a registered professional nurse and certified occupational health nurse specialist case manager (COHN-S/CM). At present she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN). She is a current member of AAOHN and CIAOHN.
Jill has lectured on informatics in occupational health at both local and national levels. She has been an employee of Medgate since 1999, leading the client service managers and providing consultation to clients in the areas of implementation planning, work process review, and training. She also works with Medgate’s research and development group providing product vision and strategy for the Medgate product.
Prior to Medgate, Jill was employed at a major manufacturing facility in the Midwest working as an occupational health nurse, safety and health analyst, and workers’ compensation administrator.

Mike Jackson is Director, Sales. In this role he is responsible for managing the Client Accounts team, which is dedicated to sales for all current Medgate clients, as well as the International Sales team, which supports all opportunities outside of North America. Mike has been involved both in the sales and service ends of Medgate’s business having held the roles of Director of Client Service, Account Executive and, initially, Senior Client Service Consultant.
Mike has been with Medgate since 2002, having joined from Mercer Human Resource Consulting. At Mercer, he served in the role of Implementation Project Manager with the Benefits Administration Practice, guiding the implementation of both business processes and web-based software applications. Prior to that, he was the Lead Analyst for the Mercer ‘Managed Time Loss Benchmarking Survey of Absence Cost’, the industry’s first Canadian study of disability and absence costs. He also worked as a Health & Group Benefits Consultant.
Prior to employment at Mercer he held positions as a Programmer, Quality Assurance Consultant, and Technical Account Manager with various organizations.
