Medgate would like to welcome Bimbo Bakeries USA as one of its newest clients. Bimbo Bakeries, a division of Grupo Bimbo, acquired Weston Foods in January of 2009. Bimbo Bakeries will be rolling out Medgate's Safety Suite in April 2009 across their US Weston Foods operations, beginning now with the Incident Investigation modules. Medgate will host the Safety Suite at its highly secure SunGard data center.
Grupo Bimbo has over 91, 000 employees worldwide, and is Mexico's largest commercial baking operation and one of the top bakers in the world. Grupo Bimbo produces bread, cookies, and tortillas under the Tia Rosa, Bimbo, and Marinela brands. It also makes snack foods under the Barcel brand and candies under the Ricolino brand.
