Maine Department of Transportation selects Medgate as their Safety software providerApril 1, 2009
Medgate is pleased to announce the State of Maine, Department of Transportation as a new Medgate client. Maine DOT will be using Medgates Safety Suite to manage their Scheduling, Incident Reporting, Training, and Motor Vehicle Accident tracking.
The Maine Department of Transportation designs, builds, and maintains a multi-modal transportation infrastructure of roads, bridges, railroads, airports, marine facilities, mass transit facilities, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. With an annual capital investment program of approximately $280 million and $100 million per year maintenance program, the Department is responsible for 8,303 miles of highways, 2790 bridges, 300 miles of state-owned railroad track, and 14 ferry facilities serving eleven islands. Maine DOT also provides assistance to 26 airports. The Department operates 400 facilities statewide, ranging from headquarters in Augusta to Region offices in Augusta, Presque Isle, Bangor, Scarborough, and Dixfield, and to statewide crew camps, ferry terminals, and Interstate rest areas.
The State of Maine DOT joins Medgates existing client L.L. Bean as customers in southwest Maine.
