DTE Energy becomes Medgate's newest Fortune 500 client in the Utilities sector May 1, 2009
Medgate is pleased to announce DTE Energy as our newest client. Medgate will host, at its SunGard Data Center, the Medical, Case Management, and Safety Suites for DTE Energy.
DTE Energy, number 285 on the 2009 Fortune 500 list, is one of the largest diversified energy companies in the US. Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, DTE Energy is involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Its largest operating units are Detroit Edison, an electric utility serving 2.2 million customers in Southeastern Michigan, and MichCon, a natural gas utility serving 1.3 million customers in Michigan. DTE employs more than 10,000 individuals in utility and non-utility subsidiaries involved in a wide range of energy-related businesses. The four non-utility segments are involved in gas pipelines and storage; unconventional gas exploration, development and production; power and industrial projects and coal transportation and marketing, and energy marketing and trading operations.
