Chemical Products/Inventory
Medgate’s Chemical module enables total access for those in charge of maintaining a vast chemical inventory, but can also provide other employees access to request that certain chemicals or products be ordered, to monitor inventories, or to check chemical product information, without providing access to other Medgate modules. In addition, a “public” user option is also available, enabling any employee to access the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and chemical safety information for a particular product without viewing any other part of Medgate.
For those who have total access, the Chemical module stores information on chemical products and their ingredients, including hazard information and MSDSs. Outdated MSDSs can also be stored on the system if desired. The Chemical module also enables the manager to search chemical products for certain ingredients, view current inventories of products, and review and/or approve the requests of employees to order chemical products.
