Audiometric Testing

This module captures the details of hearing tests either manually or through the direct transfer from audiometers. Detailed information is captured including date and time of the test, decibel levels for frequencies 500 through 8000 Hz, (and 2nd 1000Hz for test validity) name of the examiner, audiometer name and serial number and calibration date.  Noise exposure history is also recorded, including whether the employee was noise-free prior to exam, type and duration of noise (if exposed; this information can be populated automatically if the Medgate system is being used for Industrial Hygiene noise monitoring) and hearing protection worn . Fields for otoscopic exams and notes are available.

Regulations:

The system allows users to identify the regulation (i.e. OSHA , UK, Alberta, Quebec) to use when determining STS.  A system setting also permits users to save 10db shifts with an average of 25 in the 2000, 3000, and 4000 Hz to the OSHA log.  Batch recall letters can be printed or e-mailed directly through the system.

Reports:

Standard reports include averages and shifts for each ear, employee’s test history in numeric and graphic formats and flags for results exceeding jurisdictional regulations.  Adjustments for age (presbycusis) are automatically calculated as are shifts from the first and most recent baselines and percent binaural impairment.  The system generates user-defined employee notification letters with a graphic representation of their hearing results.

Interfaces (the following interfaces are included with the software):

Amplivox CA850
Benson CCA200
Earscan EA 709
MI5000
Microlab
Maico 790
Maico 800
Maico 1000)
Tremetrics RA300
Tremetrics RA400
Tremetrics RA500
Tremetrics HT Wizard

To ensure data integrity, the system creates a transfer log for all hearing results that can be edited and reprocessed (in cases where transfer errors have occurred). This module ties directly into the Scheduling/Recall module to manage hearing conservation programs.
