| Medgate's web-based software is installed on a local, secure Web server internal to your organization. In other words, it is accessed through your intranet. Industry standard protocols such as Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) can be used to secure the application to only designated personnel. |

| Since the installation of Medgate Web is done at one centralized location, not only will you gain significantly faster performance, your IT department will only have to support one application on the main server, as opposed to any number of individual computers (as they would with a Windows product). |

| All upgrades can be made seamlessly right to the application server, ultimately making Medgate Web cheaper to deploy and maintain. In addition, since the Web product is fully compatible with the Windows version, the upgrade process is easy and users can be gradually phased in. |
